Immediate Services
I am available to other Doulas, labor and delivery nurses, midwives, and doctors, as well as birthing families themselves, to be called in at a moment's notice (when available) to births with unexpected outcomes. These situations need immediate, specialized support.
Traditional Birth Support
I begin meeting with you in the second trimester. Help you write a birth plan, and get you know you and your birth desires. My job is to help you feel supported and to be educated on all of your choices.
Expected Bereavement Support
I begin meeting with you as soon as my services are needed. I help you make a specialized birth plan. I can help you begin to make decisions about what will come after the birth as well. I can help you begin to navigate your grief. I will also meet with you a few times after the delivery to continue to support you.
Nicu/ Difficult Diagnosis support
In a situation like this, I will accompany you to a number of your high risk appointments. I will assist you in making a specialized birth plan. Help you find the support that your family needs. Be with you during labor, delivery, and recovery. In our meeting before delivery one of the many things we will discuss is words/ terms that may come up during your little ones NICU stay and understanding what they mean.
Payment Methods
Traditional Payment
For birth scenarios 2, 3, and, 4 we will use a traditional financial agreement which will be discussed at our interview.
Love Offering
In situations needing immediate support the birthing family has no obligation to pay for my services. Later, if they have found value in my support, they will be invited to make these services available to another family in a similar situation through a love offering (pay it forward scenario)
